Featured in The Design Aglow Book!

Monday, December 16, 2013  |  Press, News, For Photographers

I’m so very thrilled to be featured in the new book The Design Aglow Posing Guide for Wedding Photography, published by AmPhoto and Random House.

This handbook for modern photography style illustrates 100 fresh poses for couples and their wedding parties. As a contributor, I collaborated with Design Aglow on images and suggestions to make posing simple.

With contributions from some of my most talented colleagues, including Elizabeth Messina, Tanja Lippert and Anna Kuperberg, The Design Aglow Posing Guide for Wedding Photography shares innovative posing ideas and advice for beginning and veteran photographers alike. All poses are paired with helpful tips for directing clients and additional shots that can be accomplished with the same setup.

A huge thank you to Design Aglow founder and writer Lena Hyde for including me in this compilation. And, as always, I'm so grateful to my amazing couples who allow me to feature their celebrations!

Sonoma Photo Workshop - Updates!

Thursday, July 19, 2012  |  News, For Photographers

I'm excited to share some updates to the Sonoma Photo Workshop I am teaching alongside Meg Smith and Suzy Clement, hosted by Kristi Amoroso Special Events. We have decided to limit enrollment to 20 students for even more personal attention, as well as extend early bird registration.

I recently visited Twin Palms Sonoma, the private estate where the workshop is going to be taking place - it is SO gorgeous! I'm super excited to have our styled shoots there, including an evening bridal session, a wedding portrait session and plenty of tabletop decor from Kristi and her team.

Our fabulous sponsors include Richard Photo Lab, Cypress Fine Albums and Modern Luxury - Brides California. Our media partner (and guest speaker!) is Snippet + Ink.

Register today - only a handful of spots are left! Hope to see you there.

Summer Photography Workshop in Sonoma

Monday, June 11, 2012  |  News, For Photographers

I am so thrilled to announce that I will be co-teaching a two-day workshop this August, alongside two of my favorite photographers, Meg Smith and Suzy Clement. The workshop is hosted by Kristi Amoroso Special Events, and sponsored by Richard Photo Lab and Cypress Fine Albums. The fun takes place at a gorgeous private estate, Twin Palms Sonoma, on August 28th + 29th 2012.

Two full days of business, branding, self-promotion and studio management, along with techniques, a panel discussion, networking and shooting - we're packing it all in to create an amazing workshop experience. As if that wasn't enough, special guest speaker Kathryn Storke Grady of Snippet + Ink will share her insights on blog publishing, and Angela of Richard Photo Lab will present a mini business seminar.

Check out the full website with registration info - the first 15 signups will receive a one-on-one portfolio review!

A huge thank you to Little Miss Press for creating our beautiful invitation and website!

So honored to have been interviewed alongside Cliff Mautner and Kate McElwee for a story on getting beautiful reception images (particularly in dark spaces, on film). My images featured were captured on Ilford 3200 film on a Contax 645. Check out the article in the March issue of Shutterbug!
