I am so glad I can finally share this amazing wedding! Leslie + Jeff's Beaulieu Garden affair was filled with cotton candy pink peonies, the most spectacular modern cake, and lots of love. And what a Dream Team! So many of my favorite people to work with: Gloria Wong Design, Jubilee Lau Events, Nancy Liu Chin Designs, Weddings on Film...... and the list goes on and on.

I was so excited to be asked by BRIDES Magazine to advise their readers on one of my Wedding Day Secrets (after all these years I have many!). I talk about how I always ask my couples to do a Sunset portrait session - the light is fantastic, everyone is relaxed and in the groove of the wedding... I often make the most sweet, intimate and beautiful portraits during this mini-session.

I am beyond honored and thrilled to be speaking at WPPI this year. I'll be giving a Platform talk entitled Lifestyle Wedding Photography. My class is sponsored by Fujifilm, Richard Photo Lab, and Cypress Fine Albums. Expect some goodies and giveaways!

Lisa will share her approach to creating beautiful lifestyle images and describe how working with film has inspired and differentiated her Fine Art brand. She will also discuss how having her work published has been a powerful tool in establishing her boutique studio. Learn how to pre-plan the wedding day to get the images you want, as well as how to shoot décor on the fly and direct your clients to create intimate, natural portraits. Lisa will also help you navigate the complex world of self-promotion, and discuss her methods for shooting for publication and getting your work published.

Carolyn + David's request: a beautiful event that was as playful as they are. Mission accomplished! Helmed by Jubilee Lau, their gorgeous, modern affair took place at San Francisco's de Young Museum, whose cutting-egde architecture was a dramatic backdrop for our portrait session. Inside, uber-talented designer Gloria Wong, alongside florist Hunt Littlefield, created a landscape of playfulness and glamour mixed into one. A forest of white trees, a mock "exhibit" of mementos from Carolyn + David's lives, snappy little sayings on drink swizzle sticks and a photobooth all made for an amazing evening. Congrats Carolyn + David!
